Our library nurtures lifelong readers and learners through its extensive collection and diverse programs designed for pre-readers to advanced readers.

The library contains more than 11,000 books spanning interests and reading abilities of our kindergarten through eighth grade students. Multi-format curriculum materials support our educational objectives in all grade levels and subject areas. The library catalog can be viewed online:

Kindergarten through fifth-grade students visit the library weekly, while learning to self-select and checkout books. Second-grade students begin to use the online catalog DSC_0733independently and continue to develop their expertise through the upper elementary grades. Middle school students visit the library individually to select and self-checkout books.

The library program is a resource for teachers where classroom research skills are integrated in subject areas. Research skills are developed through the grade levels.

Additional library program services include DSC_0722hosting visiting authors, annual book fair, as well as student voting for the NC Children’s Book Award nominated books each year.
