Ms. Pallini grew up in Upstate New York and moved to Cary, North Carolina in 2001. When she started her college education, she was on the path to become a pharmacist. After working in a pharmacy and traveling to train other employees, she quickly realized that God had a different plan; she was meant to teach. She took classes while working full-time in the pharmacy to obtain her degree in elementary education. Ms. Pallini joined the SRCS faculty in 2013. She taught first grade for 4 years before becoming a kindergarten teacher. She loves teaching in KA!

Mrs. Hamrick has been a teacher at Saint Raphael since 1998 and has watched the school grow from a K-3 school to a school that offers so many opportunities to all children. Mrs. Hamrick began her teaching career at a Catholic school in Greensboro where she taught kindergarten for seven years. After moving to Raleigh with her husband and two sons, she has been happy teaching first grade.

Mrs. Gaukel loves children! She is a mother of four young souls and has been teaching at Saint Raphael Catholic School since 2007. She has taught third grade and now is a second grade teacher. Before moving to Raleigh, she was a youth minister at Christ the King Parish in Wisconsin working with middle and high school students and considers it an honor to be a positive, Catholic influence on our next generation. Growing up, she attended Catholic schools all of her life. Realizing that Catholic education was her calling, she later did extensive post-baccalaureate work at Edgewood College (also a Catholic institution) to earn numerous teaching certifications that enable to teach elementary education as well as middle mchool education in the subjects of math, science, language arts, and social studies in both Wisconsin and North Carolina.

Ms. von Lehmden was born and raised in Greenville. She received a Catholic education from kindergarten through eighth grade, to which she attributes her love for education and her Catholic faith. Her faith continued to develop as she became an active member in the Saint Peter's Life Teen high school youth group. Upon graduating high school, she excitedly pursued her love for education at North Carolina State University. Her elementary education degree has a concentration in STEM and she enjoys using STEM concepts to excite her students through hands-on learning in the classroom. During her time at NCSU, Ms. von Lehmden studied abroad in Guatemala, where she lived in a poverty-stricken town around Lake Atitlan, and taught English in the local elementary school. She was eager to join the Saint Raphael family since her grandparents became parishioners in 1967 and she has two cousins who are SRCS graduates. Ms. von Lehmden has taught 2nd grade at SRCS since 2017.

Mrs. Brictson is a native of Denver, Colorado and a product of Catholic education from preschool through graduate school. After many years at home raising her children (Ford--SRCS 2015, Katherine--SRCS 2020, and Will--SRCS 2020), she returned to the classroom in 2014.

Mrs. Brenton grew up in Edwardsville, Illinois, where she attended Saint Mary’s Catholic School. Her experience at Saint Mary’s is what drove her to pursue a degree in education. After graduation, she moved to Raleigh to be closer to family. Prior to becoming the 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Brenton worked at SRCS as a substitute and teacher’s assistant for 3rd through 5th grade.

Mrs. Palmer has taught elementary school for 14 years. After taking a break to raise her 3 children, Reeves (Class of 2018), Allie (Class of 2021) and Lilly (Class of 2021) she began working at SRCS in 2015.
Mrs. Hebert is pleased to join the SRCS faculty this year as teacher assistant for Mrs. G’s second grade class as well as assistant for the after school care program. After Mrs. Hebert’s family relocated from their hometown of New Orleans in 2001, she began working for the Diocese of Raleigh. She served enthusiastically as office coordinator for Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic School in Wake Forest for 16 years and, most recently, for the Catholic Student Center at Duke University. Mrs. Hebert’s two daughters Saint Raphael alumnae, graduating in 2008 and 2010. Both girls enjoy visiting their alma mater when they have the time!
Mrs. Shea is excited to welcome our youngest Guardians this year and work with Ms. Pallini in kindergarten as her teaching assistant. Mrs. Shea served as a kindergarten teaching assistant at Saint Michael’s in Cary, North Carolina for 9 years.
Mrs. Gasper started her teaching career in 1989 for the diocese of Syracuse teaching First Grade at St Thomas Aquinas in Binghamton, NY. After getting married she moved to Raleigh and began her teaching in the Diocese of Raleigh at St. Raphael in 1997. She was the school librarian at St. Raphael for a two years. After taking time off to start a family, she returned to teach at the preschool for a year and then began her time at the Elementary school in 2006 filling the roll as assistant teacher in first grade and has been in this roll since.
Mrs. Gasper has been a parishioner of St. Raphael since 1996 and is married to her husband, Greg. Their three children are, Meghan (class of 2012), Sarah (class of 2015) and Sam (class of 2016).

Laura Patterson was born and raised in Pennsylvania and attended the Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. The majority of her work experience is as a social worker in Child Protective Services. She has been a stay at home mother for the past several years and has two children, Josef and Gracie who attend St. Raphael.
