The Guardians sports teams are working
hard now.
Time to be smart, and to stay sharp, with
some pre-match snacks suggestions:
Allow enough time for food to digest (at
least 30 minutes).
Good food before practice/match:
* Cinnamon-raisin bagel or non-sugary bagels.
* A bagel with "thin" layer of peanut butter.
* A yogurt with a banana
* 2-5 Fig Newton cookies.
* Generic Granola bar - quick, cheap form of fuel.
* Regular or frozen yogurts
* Bananas, oranges, apples
* Soft pretzels, hard pretzels
* Graham crackers
* English muffins
* Water
Good food after a strenuous
practice/match:
* chocolate milk or
* low fat milk shake
Don't get left behind.... continue to
exercise, eat right, and get plenty of rest.
